Meeker Mansion - 1890's era Victorian home built by one of Washington State's early pioneers.  National Historic Place.


Museum of Glass - Not only is this the place to see world famous Dale Chihuly's glass masterpieces, but those of many other up-and-coming glass artists.  See glass art being hand blown. The court house across the street , via the MUST SEE glass artwork encased "Wall of Glass" (see photos above) is not only an active court house, but a glass museum in it's own right.

Tacoma Art Museum - The Tacoma Art Museum explores art and artists from the Northwest, and presents innovative exhibitions such as Catalan Masters of the 20th Century; Picasso: Ceramics from the Marina Picasso Collection; Our Nation's Colors: A Celebration of American Painting; and Inside Out: New Chinese Art.

Washington State History Museum - The Washington State History Museum is where fascination and FUN come together! People of all ages can explore and be entertained in an environment where characters from Washington's past speak about their lives. Through interactive exhibits, theatrical storytelling, high-tech displays and dramatic artifacts, learn about our state's unique people and places, as well as their impact on the country and the world.

Working Waterfront Maritime Museum - Offers visitors an opportunity to view heritage displays of maritime artifacts or watch boat builders restoring or building small watercraft.  Children's activities and a maritime research library.


Outdoor Recreation Sites - These are general outdoor recreation sites. You will find a great deal of information about camping, hiking, mountain & rock climbing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, outdoor safety, gear, and other related topics. Seattle Mountaineers - Hook up with a group of Seattle hikers.

STP - Official site of the annual Seattle-To-Portland bicycle race.

Washington Kayak Club - An all volunteer organization, located in Washington state, dedicated to all forms of kayaking and paddle craft in and around the great Northwest.  Provides information, classes and trips.

Washington State Parks - Information on all State-owned parks. Online reservations. Rules & regulations, and fees are listed.


Waterfalls - Being a mountainous region as we are, you will find tons of places with beautiful waterfalls that you can either visit as a day trip, camp at, or stay in a nearby motel. Check these out!
